SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Women For Trump Bus Tour made a stop in Sioux City.
As the Trump administration gears up for a reelection campaign, the Women For Trump Coalition made a special stop at the Country Celebration Event Center in Sioux City.
The event featured President Trump's Daughter-In-Law Lara Trump, Campaign Adviser Mercedes Schlapp, and National Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
The women talked about key election issues including healthcare, unemployment, and the upcoming vote on getting 12 weeks of federal family leave.
Schlapp says taking care of families is important for both the President and First Lady Melania Trump.
"So I think for women we have benefitted so much from the economy, but the fact that we are working on taking care of families and that has become a priority not only for the president but also for the First Lady," said Mercedes Schlapp, Trump Campaign Adviser.
The Women For Trump Bus Tour will be making two other stops, one in Des Moines and one in Davenport.
