WAYNE, Neb. (KTIV) -- Siouxland students came together for a robotics competition, Monday.

The Northeast Community College-Wayne State College Robotics Competition Series was hosted Monday morning at Wayne State.

For more than a decade, students from the high school and college level have come together for the event to build robots.

The robots compete in a game by placing cubes in various places on a board. Organizers say this event is a great way for the students to hone their skills.

"They get to work together as a group and solve problems, they get to work on hardware issues and software issues and they get to collaborate and to teamwork and have a lot of fun doing it," said Molly Curnyn, the Wayne State Robotics Coach.

Students from three colleges, and several area high schools, took part in Monday's event
