SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The City of Sioux City's garbage and recycling collection service will alter pick-up days for some Sioux City residential customers.
The change will affect certain residential customers, who currently receive their garbage and recycling pick up on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays.
The change will take effect starting February 3.
The collection for affected residents will take place one day earlier.
Gill Hauling will place a tag on garbage affected by the change, between January 29-31.
A residential address list with pick-up days is available on the City's website.
Any questions regarding the collection schedule should be directed to Gill Hauling at: 712-279-0151.
"Those who are actually getting a change are going to be a day early when they get picked up. So for instance, those who are getting picked up on Wednesday in the Leeds area are going to move to Tuesday," said Tyler Davis, Gill Hauling.
Managers at Gill Hauling said the collection changes are necessary, due to the growth of some residential areas.
