SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Presidential Candidate Joe Biden, made a campaign stop at the Biden for President Sioux City Field Office.
It's part of a two-day trek across Iowa for her, hearing from voters on issues important to them.
Dr. Biden talked about a number of topics including education, green technology, gun rights, foreign policy, and the most talked-about issue - health care.
Dr. Biden heard from a Siouxlander that recently lost his wife to cancer.
That person asked if Joe Biden gets elected for him to put more resources towards cancer research,
"Win or lose this election, that's one thing that Joe and I have found purpose in our life after our son Beau died from brain cancer, and we will continue to work on the cancer issue, to fight cancer as we know it," said Dr. Jill Biden.
Dr. Biden says cancer research is a particular topic that is close to their hearts.
Dr. Biden also spoke in Denison Iowa this afternoon.
Joe Biden will be campaigning in Sioux City at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday at Western Iowa Tech.
