SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -- The case against a Sioux City teenager, who's charged with attempted murder, has been dropped.

Matthew Bol was arrested earlier this month following a shooting near West 7th and Sioux Streets on Jan. 31.

According to recent court documents, a Woodbury County Judge has dismissed the case after the victim identified another person as the possible shooter.

On Jan. 31 several people left a club near West 7th Street and went towards Cook Park before several shots were fired towards the group.

When police arrived at the scene they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.

Investigators say shortly afterward, a woman from the incident arrived at Unity Point Health St.Luke's with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The complaint read, as a result, there was insufficient evidence to convict Bol and more evidence and identifying other witnesses would be needed.
