SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - Some middle schoolers spent their Friday night at the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA, in South Sioux City, celebrating Valentine's Day with a dance, and a swim.
Kids could show off their moves on the dance floor, or play some games. They also had a photo booth to take pictures to remember the night.
After dancing, the kids could also take a dip in the pool.
"Sometimes the middle school group gets left out because everyone is focused on youth sports and then high school sports. We just wanted to offer an event for middle scholars to come out and hang out with their friends," said Cailee Conlon, aquatics director for the YMCA.
Conlon says this was their first event for middle schoolers, and they hope to do more events like this in the future.
