Big third period propels Force over Musketeers

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Sioux City Musketeers losing streak climbs to four after falling to the Fargo Force 5-2 on Sunday.

Fargo broke a scoreless tie halfway through the first period. Mason Salquist banked the puck off the skate of Sioux City's Tommy Pasanen for his 13th giving Fargo the 1-0 lead.

Sioux City answered just a few minutes later when Joel Maatta scored his 10th goal of the season. That tied the game at 1-1.

The Musketeers broke that 1-1 tie two minutes into the third period. Sam Antenucci found the back of the net for the 10th time this season.

It was all Fargo after that. The Force score four unanswered goals to win 5-2.

Sioux City returns to the ice Friday, February 21st at Fargo.
