SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -- Siouxland Youth for Christ is hosting its annual comedy cafe this March.
The Youth for Christ Comedy Cafe brings in a comedian from out of town to be the keynote speaker of the event while also providing inspirational comedy. This year they're bringing in comedian John Branyan.
But organizers say this fundraiser's real focus is to share with the community what Youth For Christ is and how they are impacting local kids.
The event will also include stories from kids with their adult mentors, focusing on their relationship and what's going on in their life. Organizers say many of the kids in Youth for Christ are unreached and unnoticed in the community.
Youth for Christ is still looking for sponsors for the event. Those interested can visit their website to learn more.
The event is March 2 at the Marriot Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with the event itself going 7-8:30 p.m.
To reserve seats for the event visit the Siouxland Youth for Christ website.
