SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -- The Sioux City Symphony will be celebrating Beethoven's 250th birthday with a special performance this March.
On March 7 at 7:30 p.m. the Sioux City Symphony will be performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
In addition to this iconic performance, British violinist Chloë Hanslip will make her Sioux City Symphony debut with a performance of Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor.
Brian Haskin, the music director for the Sioux City Symphony, says 2020 is the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth and this performance is the symphony's way of participating in the year-long celebration.
Haskins says musicians come from all over to play in the Orpheum Theatre with the Sioux City Symphony.
He says Beethoven Symphony No. 7 promises to be a powerful performance featuring world-class musicians.
