Warmth and humidity stay in place into the holiday weekend

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

For the better part of the last week our weather has been pretty consistent with highs generally in the upper 80s to near 90 and a lot of humidity.

That pattern is showing no real signs of changing as a ridge strengthens its hold over the Upper Midwest.

It will be mostly sunny with highs again near 90 and a heat index in the mid 90s.

Winds will stay pretty quiet through the day as well.

A few more clouds arrive overnight but we stay quiet with lows in the upper 60s.

We may have a little patchy fog to start off our Friday similar to what we had this morning.

The holiday weekend maintains highs near 90 and muggy conditions pushing the heat index into the mid to upper 90s.

There is only a small chance for a pop-up storm or two Friday and Saturday but most, if not all, of us stay dry.

The weather stays pretty consistent into next week with only meager chances for pop-up storms Monday and Tuesday and highs even going up a bit into the low to mid 90s.
