(KTIV) -- Starbucks has announced it is requiring customers to wear facial coverings while visiting all company-owned locations in the United States.
The mandate goes into effect on July 15 and is part of Starbucks' "continued effort in prioritizing the health and well-being of partners (employees) and customers."
Starbucks said in a statement on Thursday that customers who refuse to wear a mask inside can order from the drive-thru, curbside pickup or delivery.
The company announced back in April it would require employees facing coverings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“The company is committed to playing a constructive role in supporting health and government officials as they work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” said Starbucks in the statement.
