3 injured followed two-vehicle accident near Onawa

NEAR ONAWA, Iowa (KTIV) - Three people were taken to the hospital late Thursday night following a two-vehicle accident near Onawa, Iowa.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, around 10:47 p.m. Thursday officials were called to Interstate 29 northbound on Mile Marker 108 for an accident. They say 20-year-old Timothy Tracy, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, was traveling northbound on Interstate 29 near Mile Marker 108 when he lost control of his vehicle.

Tracy's vehicle hit a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Michael Gavigan, of Golden Valley, Minn., on the driver's side door. Both vehicles came to a rest partially in the left lane of southbound I-29.

Both men were taken to Burgess Health Center in Onawa. A third person, 22-year-old Fernando Romero, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., was also taken to Burgess Health Center.
