SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Sioux City Police say they have recovered a body from the Missouri River Friday afternoon.

Authorities say an adult male was recovered from the river around 1:30 p.m.

The body was sent to the medical examiners office for an autopsy

Until that is complete, we will not know the victim's age, race or cause of death

This comes two days after, police say, a man fell into the Missouri River in the area of the Veterans Memorial Bridge.

After the incident, on Wednesday night, investigators sent search boats from South Sioux City and Dakota City to scour the river for the individual.

Searching continued on Thursday.

Sioux City Police say articles of clothing, and a cell phone, were later found on the bridge, itself.

No connection has been made between today's discovery and the incident on Wednesday night
