July 31: 80 new cases of COVID-19 in South Dakota

(KTIV) - South Dakota health officials are reporting 80 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, according to new figures released on Friday.

Currently there are 873 active cases of the virus in the state, with 8,764 positive cases having been reported since the pandemic began.

One more person has died from the virus, bringing the state total to 130.

Currently 31 people are hospitalized, down by 13 from Thursday.

Seventy-one more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the state total to 7,761 people.
