HINTON, Iowa (KTIV) - The northbound lane of Highway 75 has reopened, according to dispatchers with the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office. The northbound lane reopened shortly after 7:00pm Monday night.

HINTON, Iowa (KTIV) -- An accident south of Hinton, Iowa, Monday morning blocked a portion of Highway 75.

At about 10:20 a.m. the accident occurred near the intersection of Harness and Hwy 75.

The Plymouth County Sheriff Office says a pickup pulling a dump trailer full of concrete was traveling southbound on Hwy 75 and lost control.

The pickup entered the northbound lane and collided with a semi-tractor trailer loaded with dry concrete mix.

The driver of the pickup and the driver of the semi-tractor were transported to MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center.

The driver of the semi-tractor sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the pickup's injuries are unknown at this time.

The names of both involved are not being released at this time.

As of 5:30 p.m. traffic is flowing in one direction on Hwy 75.

HINTON, Iowa (KTIV) -- Authorities are responding to a semi vs. truck accident south of Hinton, Iowa.

According to Iowa's 511 service US 75 NB/SB is blocked due to the crash.

Traffic is closed from Lone Tree Road to County Road C60. A detour is in operation at this time.
