(AP) -- President Donald Trump has won the state of Nebraska, this according to The Associated Press
The Republican nominee on Tuesday was awarded 4 of its 5 electoral votes.
Nebraska is one of two states that permits its electoral votes to be split. The statewide winner earns two votes, but the other three votes are decided by the winner of the congressional districts.
Because the president won the statewide vote and in two of Nebraska’s three districts, he will receive four Electoral College votes. By beating Trump in the Omaha district, Biden will earn one vote.
Nebraska voted for Trump in the 2016 election.
Since 1968, Nebraska has consistently voted Republican.
Trump has also won South Dakota.
