Tom Brokaw says he’s retiring from NBC News after 55 years

(KTIV) - Veteran news anchor, Yankton, South Dakota native and former KTIVer Tom Brokaw is retiring from NBC News after 55 years at the network.

Brokaw has spent his entire journalism career with NBC. He covered the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, Watergate and the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Brokaw has won a number of prestigious journalism awards, including Peabodys, Emmys and Edward R. Murrow Award for Lifetime Achievement in Broadcasting.

And, it all started here at KTIV, where Brokaw was a part-time announcer for two years while attending the University of South Dakota.
