A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for south and west Siouxland until 9 PM tonight
SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - It was a cold night and our day has not seen major improvements.
We also are getting snow across Siouxland, a bit more in the south western regions, where they could end up accumulating 1-3 inches by the end of the system.
The rest of us look to get around 1 inch or less. That snow will continue to pass through up until 10 PM.
We may see some light snowfall for our Monday morning as well.
Temperatures continue to stay cold, with the high today in the mid single digits. The low tonight will be around 5 below.
Tomorrow’s temperatures look similar to today, with mostly cloudy skies. Monday night drops down to 10 below, but with wind chills near 20 below.
We don’t get a break from this cold through the week, so remember to layer up when you head outside and avoid any long periods in the cold.
It’s definitely a hat, gloves, and scarf kind of week!
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 10 degrees. Wednesday night has another chance of snowfall.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy, with a high only a few degrees above zero.
There is a warm up down the road, but how much farther? Tune in to News 4 to find out.
