OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center are notifying patients and employees, whose personal information may have been compromised in a data security breach last fall.
The breach may have affected up to 219,000 in Nebraska and some other states.
In a statement, health system leaders say an investigation, which began in late September, found no evidence personal information from the breach was used to commit fraud or identity theft.
Discovery of the breach in September led to postponements of patient appointments and made hospital staff enter chart information by hand.
