(KTIV) - A suspect arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in Sioux City in November has returned to Woodbury County to face charges.
Thirty-six-year-old Roderick Banks is charged with first-degree murder in the November 1, 2020, death of Solomon Blackbird.
Banks was arrested on February 8 in Prichard, Alabama.
Banks was booked Monday morning in the Woodbury County Jail following extradition from Alabama.
He is being held on a $2 million bond.
According to court documents, on Nov. 1, 2020, Blackbird was with his girlfriend and child on the 2600 block of Douglas Street when Banks approached them and shot Blackbird in the chest.
Blackbird was taken to MercyOne Medical Center where he died due to his injuries.
