Sioux City man pleads not guilty to shooting

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A Sioux City man accused of shooting another man in the leg is pleading not guilty to charges.
The 20-year-old Alejandro LaPointe faces multiple charges, including willful injury, going armed with intent, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
LaPointe is being held in the Woodbury County Jail on a $15,000 bond. His trial is scheduled for April 27.
Police say on the morning of Feb. 10 they responded to a call of shots fire at the 1400 block of Myrtle Street. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
Police say the shooting started over a verbal altercation.
