CASTANA, Iowa (KTIV) -People, who live in Castana, Iowa, will have to get by with bottled water for the next few days after a water main break in the Monona County town compromised the city's water system.
A post to the Monona County Sheriff's Office Facebook page says the town's water isn't safe to drink or to cook with.
In fact, the post says boiling the water won't make it safe to drink or cook with. So, residents in Castana are told to use bottle water only.
Free bottle water will be made available to residents tomorrow, at Noon, at the Castana Fire Station.
On Monday, after repairs are complete, the water will be tested to make sure the water is safe.
