SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A judge has pushed back the trial of a Sioux City woman, who's accused of throwing her newborn baby into a crib to stop him from crying.
Megan James is charged with child endangerment.
Her jury trial was scheduled to begin tomorrow in Sioux City.
However that has been pushed back to June 8th.
Court documents say on November 17, 20-19, James became frustrated trying to breastfeed her two-day-old son, saying she had a migraine and wanted him to stop crying.
Documents indicate James admitted to the police she threw her son at a crib.
The child hit his head on the crib and fell onto the hospital room floor, resulting in a skull fracture. He was taken to Children's Hospital in Omaha for his injuries.
