SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - High pressure remains in control over the Midwest, bringing us plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures.

Tonight will again see temperatures drop into the upper 20s to low 30s with areas of fog forming.

Some pockets could become thick.

The fog lingers into Saturday morning before clearing out with another day of sunshine and highs near 60 degrees.

Winds will be increasing through the weekend with gusts possibly topping 40 miles per hour by Sunday.

In western Siouxland, this will lead to the threat of fires spreading quickly.

Temperatures will jump into the mid to upper 60s for Sunday and into the beginning of next week.

How next week is looking and when the next chance for precipitation arrives on News 4 tonight.
