SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Cone park welcomed anyone with a disability and their caregivers to enjoy a morning of tubing.
The event was free for all those participating and with the nice weather, Siouxland has been seeing it made for a perfect day of tubing.
Abigail Cvrk said she likes to sled and had never been to the park before.
"Here with my mom and sister. And I'm happy. I'm excited for tubing," said Abigail Cvrk.
Abigail's mom Anne Cvrk said sledding is one of Abigail's favorite actives so they were excited at the opportunity to come out.
"It's really nice to be able to come out and have things tailored for her. You know, maybe moving at a little slower pace and things like that. That she feels comfortable and doesn't get overwhelmed or hurt, but can still have a lot of fun too. And she can get to see friends that she sees at other places and go do some fun things outside of school and structured activities," said Anne Cvrk.
Another tuber added she was appreciative for the day.
"I'd like to thank everybody for letting us come here today. And having so much fun. Because I really enjoy getting out and enjoying this nice weather," said Mary Caskey.
This was Cone Park's 4th annual all abilities day.
"It's great to be able to have this opportunity for kids and their families or even just adults and their families to be able to come out and enjoy the park," said Paige O'Farrell, Recreation Coordinator.
O'Farrell said they hope to continue to host all abilities day in the future.
Physical Therapy students from Briar Cliff were also at the park volunteering and helping out when needed.
