Mar. 6: Nebraska reports nearly 12% of 16 and older population fully vaccinated against COVID-19

(KTIV) - Nebraska health officials are reporting 503,182 of the state's 612,205 allocated vaccines have been administered.

The Nebraska COVID-19 dashboard shows 176,998 people have completed their vaccine series. This means about 11.9% of Nebraska's 16 and older population has completed their vaccinations.

Health department data shows Nebraska has had 202,653 positive cases since the pandemic began. So far, 156,825 of those cases have recovered.

The state is currently reporting 136 active hospitalizations due to the virus.

There has been one additional virus-related death in Nebraska, bringing its death toll to 2,113.
