SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - We got to enjoy another pleasant day across the region with most of us seeing highs in the 50s.

There is plenty of change on the way and it will begin with a few more clouds moving in Friday night with lows in the low to mid 30s.

Clouds will continue to thicken during the day on Saturday, and some late day rain showers will become possible, especially in northeast Nebraska with highs in the low to mid 50s.

Rain is then expected to overspread the region Saturday night with rain likely all day long on Sunday as well with highs on Sunday in the low to mid 40s.

Sunday will also be very windy with winds gusting over 40 miles per hour at times so Sunday will not be one of our more pleasant of days.

Sunday evening will start to cool and that’s when some snow will start to mix in with the rain, first in western Siouxland.

Then as we get into Sunday night, we’ll see more snow mixing in with the rain with northern Siouxland seeing all snow for awhile; that snow could be heavy at times.

Northern and eastern Siouxland could end up seeing 4-8 inches of snow with less amounts the farther to the south you go.

Remember, this storm still has a long ways to track so things can change and you’ll want to stay up to date with the very latest all weekend on News 4.
