NORTH SIOUX CITY, SD (KTIV) -- South Dakota Senator John Thune was in North Sioux City Tuesday.
After he stopped at Dakota Valley Schools, he went to North Sioux City - City Hall to sit in on an Economic Development Meeting.
The discussion centered around growth in North Sioux City and several projects, including a water tower upgrade, and a water treatment plant upgrade.
City leaders said their hope is to have the projects completed within the next three to five years, but more assets are needed to finish them.
"That's something at the federal level we could be helpful with. We're working on an infrastructure in the congress, I assume to include not just roads and bridges, but water and sewer, and broadband development, all of the things like that, all of which are important not just for residential people, but also for commercial development," said Sen. Thune.
After his visit at city hall, Sen. Thune went on a tour of Sterling Computers.
