No one injured after fire destroys home in Elk Point, SD Friday morning

UPDATE

ELK POINT, SD (KTIV) -- No one was injured when a fire broke out Friday morning at a home in Elk Point, SD.

Fire crews from several departments were called to the scene at east Washington and south Pearl streets around 3:00 A.M.

The house is a total loss, it burned to the ground. Fire officials said there is some heat damage to the surrounding home.

Again, no one was hurt, but one family pet is unaccounted for.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

It broke out early Friday morning at the intersection of east Washington and south Pearl streets.
