SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Briar Cliff women's soccer has never played in the GPAC tournament championship game. That could all change with a win over Jamestown in Tuesday's semifinal.

Briar Cliff is 12-1-2 this season and they're ranked 18th in the nation, which is their highest ranking in program history. The Chargers defeated Dordt 4-1 on Saturday in the first round of the GPAC tournament. Briar Cliff beat Jamestown 3-1 in their only meeting this season, way back in October. By winning the conference regular season title - Briar Cliff already has a spot in the national tournament, but a conference tournament championship is a goal they set over a year ago.

"Ever since last year since we went into quarantine about mid-March, we've been working all year," said senior goal keeper Ruby Campa. "I think we deserve it, we;ve worked really hard. Everyone on the team has stepped up when we needed to."

"It would be amazing. We've all been working so hard. It's been such a long journey getting here," said junior forward Taylor Hill. "So the fact that we're here, it's awesome. It'll be really exciting to see how far we can get."

Briar Cliff and Jamestown will meet Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Memorial Field.
