SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Portions of northern and western Siouxland saw some strong storms last night with up to golf-ball sized hail falling in Harrisburg and several reports of quarter-sized hail.

Much of today will see mostly cloudy skies with an isolated shower or thunderstorm possible through the daytime hours.

Highs will generally be in the low to mid 70s.

Once we reach the evening hours, storms will become more widespread and some of those may become strong.

The biggest threats will be for 60 miles per hour wind gusts and quarter-sized hail with the peak time frame from 6 PM to 2 AM.

Overnight we will transition to more shower activity than thunderstorms though a few of those will again be possible Wednesday afternoon in eastern Siouxland.

Temperatures will be much cooler Wednesday for most of Siouxland with highs only in the 50s as the front moves east.
