April 6: Nebraska reports nearly 960,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered

(KTIV) - Nebraska health officials are reporting 959,745 of the state's 1,088,015 allocated vaccines have been administered.

The Nebraska COVID-19 dashboard shows at least 379,267 residents have completed their vaccine series. This means 25.6% of Nebraska's 16 and older population has completed their vaccinations.

Health department data shows Nebraska has had 212,257 positive cases since the pandemic began. So far, 164,528 of those cases have recovered.

The state is currently reporting 148 active hospitalizations due to the virus.

There have been two additional COVID-19 deaths in the state, bringing Nebraska's death toll to 2,183.
