NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) - The trial of a man charged in a fatal Norfolk, Nebraska shooting last year has been delayed.
Deshawn Gleaton Jr. is charged with five counts, including first-degree murder, in the death of 29-year-old Haley Christiansen.
His trial was scheduled to begin in May, but has been delayed to July 12.
If the trial would proceed as scheduled on July 12, it would come almost one year after the shooting took place on July 24, 2020.
The shooting happened at a home in the 1100 block of Blaine Street in Norfolk.
Christiansen was taken to the local hospital when she died later that morning. Gleaton was arrested later that night at an apartment in Sioux City.
