A steady, cold rain Thursday with strong winds

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Rain moved in overnight and has been falling for much of the morning.

It will continue for much of the day as moisture spins around the low that continues to move east through the middle of the country.

With the damp and cloudy conditions, temperatures will struggle to warm with highs in the upper 40s today.

There will also be a decent northwest wind at 15 to 30 miles per hour.

Rainfall amounts will be highest within 50 miles or so of Interstate 29 where an additional half inch to inch falls.

Amounts will drop off elsewhere in the area though some showers will continue to move through into the nighttime hours.

Lows will be near 40 degrees.

Scattered showers will remain possible for our Friday with temperatures a little warmer in the mid to upper 50s.

Cloud cover will start to decrease on Saturday.
