SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Cloud cover remained thick overhead for much of our Saturday with a few light showers moving through the area.

The clouds will finally start to clear out overnight with temperatures falling into the low 30s.

Sunday will see the return of more sunshine with temperatures responding by jumping into the low to mid 60s.

This will be short-lived, however; another strong cold front plows into the area Sunday evening with gusty northerly winds pulling much colder air into Siouxland.

Temperatures may drop 15 to 20 degrees in a matter of an hour or two as the front arrives.

A few light rain or snow showers may move through Sunday night with a bit of a better chance for both Monday morning.

Most of the snow should melt upon hitting the ground with grassy surfaces potentially ending up with a coating on Monday.

The work week starts off well below average with temperatures only reaching the 40s during the daytime hours.

When some warmer temperatures will return to the area on News 4 through the weekend.
