(KTIV) - Iowa health officials are reporting 20,367 more people have completed their vaccine series, meaning 1,041,462 individuals are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As of Friday morning, the state's COVID-19 vaccine dashboard shows 2,225,768 total vaccine doses have been administered to Iowa residents.
Between 10 a.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday, there were 373 new, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, Iowa has reported 364,776 people have tested positive for the virus
Of those who have tested positive, 347,194 have recovered, an increase of 586 since yesterday.
Iowa's COVID-19 dashboard shows 19 additional virus-related deaths have been reported, bringing the state's death toll to 5,950.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (347,194) and the number of deaths (5,950) from the total number of cases (364,776) shows there are currently 11,632 active positive cases in the state.
The latest report from the Iowa Department of Public Health says there are 191 hospitalizations due to the virus, which is up from 184 reported on Thursday. Of those hospitalizations, 44 are in the ICU and 22 are on ventilators.
In Iowa, there were 2,769 test results reported in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,710,140 people have been tested for COVID-19.
