‘Bob Roe Way’ honors Sioux City business owner, philanthropist and resident

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -- Sioux City named a street after a long-time business owner, philanthropist and resident Friday.

Bob Roe, the owner of Bob Roe's Point After, now has an honorary street in his name. Vine Ave. will have a sign attached to it, locating is as 'Bob Roe Way.'

Former Sioux City Council member and friend of Roe, Rhonda Capron, presented the street sign to him Friday. Roe said he wouldn't be here today without his family and employees.

"What an honor you know, just wow, a lot of friends and employees and it takes employees to do this," said Roe.

Roe is best known for his bars and restaurants of his namesake.

Vine Ave.'s name will not officially change.
