Scattered showers and even a thunderstorm Wednesday

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Clear skies overnight allowed many of our temperatures to freefall back to the 20s and 30s to start off the day.

Cloud cover has swept in as a system moved into Siouxland this morning.

Scattered showers will continue to move through the rest of the day and a thunderstorm may even be possible late this afternoon into the early evening.

Rainfall amounts look to generally end up under a tenth of an inch with dry air evaporating a lot of the moisture.

Highs today will end up in the low 60s.

Partial clearing takes place overnight with lows again dipping into the 30s.

Sunshine will be with us Thursday and Friday with 60s for highs both days.

You will want to enjoy that sunshine while it is here as clouds look to dominate most of the rest of the forecast.

That does include some more chances for showers; when we could see those on News 4 Live at Five.
