NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KTIV) - A portion of Highway 105 in North Sioux City, South Dakota has been temporarily closed after a vehicle collided with a train bridge.
North Sioux City Police say at about 2:15 p.m. a semi collided with a train, causing visible damage to a train bridge.
After the crash, a one block stretch of the highway was closed, between the intersection of Military Road and Highway 105 and where N Main Street starts. Police Chief Richard Headid says the highway was closed to ensure the safety of the public while an engineer comes in and checks the damage.
Headid tells KTIV the highway is expected to open some time tonight.
